Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Meridian doesn't lock you into a long-term agreement. We keep your business by showing up on schedule.
Do I need to call when my tank is full?
No. We put your location on a set pickup route, so the truck comes whether or not anyone remembers to call.
How often do you pick up used cooking oil?
We set your pickup frequency by how much oil your fryers go through, then keep you on that route. A busy kitchen gets more frequent visits than a small one.
Does Meridian pay me for my used oil?
Yes. Meridian uses fixed indexed pricing tied to the used cooking oil market. Your payment depends on how much oil your kitchen produces. Call us for a quote based on your fryer volume.
What is yellow grease?
Yellow grease is the industry name for used cooking oil after it leaves the fryer. It trades as a commodity, and published yellow grease indexes track its market price. Meridian's fixed indexed pricing follows that index.
What's the difference between used cooking oil and grease trap waste?
Used cooking oil is the spent fryer oil you pour into a collection tank. Grease trap waste, also called brown grease, is the fat, oil and food solids your grease trap catches from sink and dishwasher drains. Meridian collects fryer oil and offers discounted grease trap cleaning.
What does the free pressure wash cover?
We pressure wash the area around your oil tank at no charge, so the pad behind your kitchen stays clean and safe to walk on.
Can you clean my grease trap too?
Yes. Meridian customers get discounted grease trap cleanings, so one vendor can handle both jobs.
How do you stop oil theft?
We install theft-deterrent tanks built to keep your oil in the tank until our truck arrives.
What happens to the oil you collect?
